Known for his inventive writing style and playful stage persona, Joe started his comedy career in North Carolina shortly after graduating Davidson College. Now based in New York city, his TV appearances have grown to include The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, John Oliver’s Comedy Central stand-up show, Conan, Last Comic Standing, his own Comedy Central Half Hour, This Week at The Comedy Cellar on Comedy Central, and three appearances on The Late Late Show. 


His debut album Smiling at Wolves reached number one on iTunes and his second, Innocence is a favorite on SiriusXM and Pandora. His first one hour special, “Cult Classic”, was directed by Nate Bargatze and is currently on Hulu. Joe also writes scripts and fiction and has contributed to The New Yorker, The New York Times.
